Generally,
whatever information you emphasize on the left side of the page
determines the style of resume you are using. For example:
I.
Chronological: left side of the page focuses on
dates in reverse chronological order. Beside the dates are the
positions you've held that demonstrate progressive levels of
responsibility and your achievements in each position.

IV. Targeted:
Job objective is clearly noted at the top of the document, and matches
the name of the occupation used within the company that you're
targeting. Content throughout the document points back to the
objective and summary of qualifications.
